How much penalty is charged everyday in case of shortfall in client margins in equity & derivative segments?

The penalty charged per day per segment in case of shortfall in client margins is as follows:

* If margin shortfall amount is less than 1 lakh and it is less than 10% of applicable margin then 0.5% of shortfall amount is charged as penalty.

* If margin shortfall amount is greater than or equal to 1 lakh or it is greater than or equal to 10% of applicable margin then 1.0% of shortfall amount is charged as penalty.

(< Rs 1 lakh) And (< 10% of applicable margin)	0.5%
(≥ Rs 1 lakh) Or (≥ 10% of applicable margin)	1.0%
