1. If Bank Passbook is submitted:
a. If Bank account is opened within last 3 months – and if it’s front / inner page contains the date of bank account opening along with address of the client, then that page of passbook can be submitted as an address proof.
b. If Bank account is opened prior to 3 months – front page of Bank passbook where the client address is mentioned should also be supported by last page of transaction. In this case it has to be ensured that the last transaction date should be in last 3 months. In case there is no transaction done by the client in last 3 months, please inform client to do so and resubmit the proof, which could to be accepted.
c. If the bank passbook is hand written, the same should be stamped & signed by a bank official.
2. If Bank statement is submitted -
The statement date printed should be within last 3 months only.
In both, bank passbook as well as statement, client name, address, bank account number, bank logo and bank name should be pre-printed and visible. If bank logo and name is not pre-printed required bank seal and bank official attestation.
