What is the process to update core banking account number i.e. bank is already mapped but account number is changed?

In that case also, you need to follow modification process and need to submit modification form and proof which contains client details and core bank account number (Bank passbook/Statement and Cancelled cheque copy OR bank verification letter) & process it through Citrus (SKYC).
